WashU Student & Entrepreneur Wins Innovator Funding for Mental Health Platform!

Christina Walker, a Brown School MSW student at Washington University in St. Louis, won an Innovation Award at the fall 2024 Skandalaris Venture Competition for her mental health platform, 4 Her Sport. Inspired by her experiences as a student-athlete, the platform supports female athletes’ mental well-being and performance. Walker received $3,500 in Innovator funding to pilot the initiative in early 2025 and officially launch it in the fall. She credits her success to mentors, classmates, and perseverance, aiming to create lasting impact at the intersection of sports, mental health, and female empowerment. To learn more, read below!
